Cheddar has been covering the biggest news of the week with some of the biggest names. In case you missed it, we've pulled together some of the highlights that will keep you informed as we get ready for the week ahead.
Dancing With Derek
Professional dancer Derek Hough joined Cheddar News this week to give all the details on season 31 of ABC's Dancing With the Stars. From 2007 to 2016, Hough was a dancer on the show and set a record with six winning seasons. He talked to Cheddar News' Baker Machado about the stiff competition this season and what has impressed him the most so far. Hough also talked about being part of the Teach the Love competition that looks to boost interest in travel and reward teachers. "Two things that I absolutely love: travel. I love traveling so much. I'm such a huge adventurer. But also, being a teacher myself, I'm just so thankful for all the teachers and mentors in my life that have helped me get to where I am today, and I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them," he said.
Black Ink Returns
Black Ink Crew New York is back on VH1 for the tenth season and cast members Puma and Young Bae joined Cheddar News to dish on what to expect from the forthcoming episodes. The season will be different after shop owner Ceaser Emanuel was fired from the show after a video of him abusing a small dog went viral over the summer. "Ceasar is still our family and our brother. The situation is very unfortunate and wrong. He knows he was wrong, we all know what he did was wrong but we have to keep pushing forward and making it happen because the brand is bigger than one individual and we've got to just make it keep it shining," Puma told Cheddar News.
Guy Branum Talks 'Bros'
Actor and comedian Guy Branum appeared on Cheddar News this week to talk about his experience on the set of Billy Eichner's rom-com flick Bros, where he took up significant roles both in front of and behind the camera. "It was really fun. My job as co-producer was just to be there on set pitching jokes. It's a really funny movie. It's a fun good time. And then on the days when I was acting, I had to put those responsibilities away and have fun with my own character," he said. Branum also talked about his work developing new shows for NBC and ABC.
'One of Us Is Lying' Season 2
Peacock's One of Us Is Lying is back with Season 2. Actors Cooper van Grootel and Chibuikem Uche stopped by Cheddquarters to give Baker Machado the inside scoop on what to expect from this season. If you like murder mysteries, this series might be for you. The premise is that five students enter detention and only four leave. Now, the race is on to find the culprit. "Expect more drama. Expect higher highs. It's steamy. Steamier," Uche told Cheddar News.
