Digital Creator Kristy Scott Talks TikTok and New Personalized Planner

Okay, so our next guest knows a thing or two about going viral. When you're scrolling on Tiktok, you've most likely stumbled upon our next guest with nearly seven million followers on Tiktok and almost three million followers on instagram. She is a true Trailblazer on your feet, skyrocketing her online presence with the help of the Hijinks. She pulls on her husband, take a look eating raw chicken for my husband's reaction. Except this is actually cake. No, some people actually eat raw chicken Christy. You're gonna get the salmon. What are you, why are you doing that? You got two good. We're joined now by filmmaker, digital creator and entrepreneur Christie scott. Welcome to the show. Your videos are so hilarious. I'm watching all the time. My husband's watching all the time. Oh my goodness. Just so excited to talk to you. Um, the first question, how does your husband feel about these videos? He seems like he's game. Do you think he's expecting these of these or is it all kind of, you know, up in the air? Yeah, he absolutely knows something's coming for him. He's on edge every single day. So, you know, it gets to a point where like I have to be more and more creative on how I pull these pranks on him. So, but my main goal with these pranks is to get the laugh out of him. So if I do that, like I know it's it's good. Okay, so they're showing a clip of one of my favorites? My favorite is when you bring out these different masks. So creative. How are you constantly having this new and relevant content while juggling your massive following. Do you ever feel this pressure to keep on creating? Yeah, I mean there is that unspoken pressure but honestly like these things come to me so randomly, like for example the mask, I woke up at like three a.m. In the night and was like wait, I can get a realistic mask and all this on my husband and see what he thinks because I was seeing like online that these masks are looking more and more real. And so I find these things, I'm like, how can I twist this and apply it to my husband and see what he does. They are brilliant. I absolutely love all the pranks and your kids sometimes joining as well. It must be so much fun. Do they enjoy, are they ready for what mom and dad are gonna do the next day? Oh my gosh, yeah, they find this hilarious, but there's some things like the mask, like I can't pull that out in front of them because um, one day my oldest saw the mask laying on my countertop and he was like, that's a man. And so there's like some things I don't want to like scare them too much so I've only let them be like a portion of it. That makes sense. Well, switching gears, you just launch your own personalized planner called, I promise I am productive when inspired you to launch this planner. So just being a mom and a working mom at that, it's just every day is so busy and I'm obsessed with the organization and planning. I have been planning since I can remember since a child like a to do list checklist, stuff like that and I just can't get my job done or um even the crazy stuff you see on social media, like it starts with the plan and so that's what really inspired me to create a planner and something that I can customize myself and make it perfect for me an extension, make it perfect for my audience as well. So that's really what inspired me to go that direction and the new planner is really based on your own organization techniques. What are your top tips for those who are trying to stay organized? So I would say number one, um planning out each morning, I did this in the morning because that's, you know, that's the jump start of my day. I feel like if I don't start planning in the morning, I'm not going to have a successful day. Um number two will be reduced clutter as much as possible. I mean this is something both me and my husband standby, it's just, we haven't used it in six months, like get rid of it. So um that helps us stay organized and then stay focused on our priorities. Um and then just focusing on one task at a time, not overwhelming yourself. Um in addition to that, like it says here, just don't procrastinate and that's something I really had to get past as a hurdle to try and find more success in my everyday endeavors and your page is just such a hit. All of your social media platforms are just, you know, so big, Why do you think that everyone is gravitating uh, to your page other than the fact that you guys are great and it's really funny and hilarious that what do you think is it that really gets people drawn in? I think just us showing like our authentic relationship and um were genuine people, we try our best to spread, spread positive and be relatable as well, shared it every day, like what we're doing and then the everyday struggles and the relationship stuff and um just our family dynamic, I think that kind of attracts people to want to see more and then of course we both are extremely goofy and I think that attracts a lot of people as well and one last question, what do you think is a top tip for a Tiktok creator who wants to get into this space? Well for me, I saw success in consistency and I feel like a lot of people say it, but it's so true, just posting consistently, you have to um make sure you are driven in that manner and by me posting consistently in us creating content, um that's when we really saw, you know, positive feedback and the numbers grow. So number one is just staying consistent.
