And do you remember that Indianapolis doctor who told reporters that she provided an abortion to a 10 year old rape victim? Well, now that doctor is facing disciplinary action, the rape of that 10 year old became a political flashpoint after Roe V Wade was overturned because it shined a harsh light on an Ohio law that bans abortions after six weeks. Well, today Indiana's medical licensing board is looking into whether Doctor Caitlin Bernard violated state law by not reporting the girl's abuse to authorities in that state. The doctors say she followed Indiana's child abuse reporting requirements to hospital staff and that Ohio authorities were already investigating a sexual assault. The doctor is also accused of breaking federal patient privacy laws by telling a newspaper reporter about treating this particular girl.
