DraftKings Becomes Publicly-traded Stock Amid Sports Pause

DraftKings stock fell after the sports betting company reported Q2 earnings with sports returning. DraftKings' co-founder and CEO Jason Robins joined Cheddar to discuss.

The NHL returns to the ice on Wednesday, but will look a little different due to the coronavirus pandemic. For starters, the regular season will be shrunk down from 82 games to 56. Additionally, most arenas will not have fans in attendance for the initial part of the season. However, one of the few exceptions will be at Gila River Arena, home of the Arizona Coyotes, who will allow 3,450 fans (25% capacity) to watch the team take the ice. Xavier Gutierrez, President and CEO of the Arizona Coyotes, says his organization has put together a series of protocols of heath, safety and innovation to help fans feel safe.
