Meanwhile, off the coast of New York's Long Island officials turning to the use of drones to monitor shark activity. Just since Monday, five people have already reported shark bites along some of the state's beaches. One had to be closed temporarily over the fourth of July weekend when drones picked up a group of 50 sand sharks near the shore there. The supervisor at one of the area beaches is quoted as saying, we do have to remember that we are cohabitating and this is their house. Now as the summer heats up, authorities are worried about the increased number of shark interactions and they continue to use the drones and urge beachgoers to remain vigilant.
