Electric jet startup Lilium made its public debut on the Nasdaq this week. Ben Engle, CEO and co-founder at Qell and Lilium board member, joined Cheddar’s “Closing Bell” to discuss the SPAC merger IPO launch and plans for commercialization in the future. Engle noted the company felt the need to go public presently in order to fund the growth and development of its electric vertical take-off and landing jet plane. "Developing a product like this is an effort that requires a fair amount of capital," he said. Engle also touted Lilium as offering a unique transportation alternative as climate change concerns grow.
