Effin Egg Brings Breakfast Favorites to NYC With a Twist

switching gears today is national sandwich day and you could either go for the typical BLT or indulge in a breakfast theme sandwich and if you're in the breakfast category. If so we've got the right place for you. An egg is the newest fast casual breakfast concept, taking over new york city and cheddar zones. Enna Allen took news wraps, food stand on the go and visited F and eggs founder Jeff martin at the midtown location, take a look. All right, Jeff, so tell me what we're doing here today, we're gonna make our infamous turkey sandwich. Okay, okay, it's a turkey and egg and it is amazing on a gluten free bun. I'm excited. Are you gonna help me out a little bit? I'm ready to get the biggest thing. Our name is an egg. So what do you think we need to do first? Let's crack an egg. Alright, alright, this is you right here, hit it on the side, throw it there, I'm gonna take our turkey and get it going. There we go. Alright, that was good. Put this in here. Yes, they're perfect. Alright, so while we're doing this, tell me a little bit about what, what made you want to start it? Yeah, so if an egg is a breakfast sandwich concept, right, so it's a fast casual pick up to go and it's what really we needed in this, you know the restaurant industry has changed a lot. Why did you choose to do breakfast instead of like any other meal of the day because I love breakfast, you know, I love breakfast, I love sandwiches and then it was just the need, right? I mean we needed a place that you could just grab and go and not sit down and go through the whole thing. So what is like the most ordered the O. G. I know you don't eat pork right? But it is the most popular. It is a bacon, egg and cheese, but it's kind of like what we're making now. So I knew we had to make this turkey for you today and it smells really good. So good. So let's talk about your locations first. You said you started out in Atlanta? We did, we started in Atlanta in florida, we have locations there and then we really just when I say we me, I really, I just wanted to come to new york and try it out. And so we opened here about two months ago and love it. Love it. And then you have a new location coming out. Yes, you're the first, we're gonna tell right now. We're coming to Brooklyn Williamsburg Market food hall. It's gonna be amazing. So cool. It's a cool area. Cool vibe. So yeah, I'm really excited, awesome. Alright so here I'm gonna let you put our chipotle ketchup on the bun. Okay, gluten free bun, put it right down there. Yeah, I like to do a little smiley face, make a smiley face, make it pretty. There we go and we had a nose. So what's our next step? So we got our egg going. Which you did a beautiful job. Thank you so much. You know, I want you to grab the turkey and fold it up and we're gonna make our sandwich. We're gonna do like this like this. Boom. Right, go faster. There you go. Alright, boom.
