Rebecca Jarvis, the host of “The Dropout” podcast and chief business, technology, and economics correspondent at ABC News, joined Cheddar to talk about the highly anticipated Elizabeth Holmes fraud trial and what viewers can expect from the proceedings. Holmes faces 10 counts of wire fraud and two counts of conspiracy for allegedly misleading Theranos investors and patients about a breakthrough blood-testing technology. She faces 20 years in prison if convicted and according to Jarvis, legal experts say there is a high probability that Holmes will take the stand — and be found guilty. But it is unclear how much time she would get if so, Jarvis said, because her role as a new mother could have some impact.
