The trial for Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes is underway for allegedly misleading investors and customers about her company's blood collecting technology. Michael S. Weinstein, chair of the white-collar criminal defense practice at Cole Schotz P.C., joined Cheddar to talk about the first day of the trial and strategies for the defense and prosecution. He expects that if she takes the stand "the cross examination is going to be pretty ferocious because they’re going to cross examine her and contrast what she’s saying on the stand to emails that she was writing at the time many years ago and there’s probably going to be a significant inconsistency,” he said.
