Elon Musk’s proposed takeover of Twitter is hitting another potential roadblock as the Tesla CEO is very publicly skeptical of reports that only 5 percent of the daily active users on the platform are automated bots. Claiming that he believes the real percentage of bots sits somewhere around 20 percent based on his personal experience, the difference appears to be posing a real threat to the acquisition.

So musk tweeting that the deal was on hold because of the number of bots on the platform. What is this reasoning behind this belief? Well, you know what's really interesting is Twitter is holding true to the belief that they believe that only 5% of their users on the platform or bots and Elon musk doesn't exactly agree with them. He actually went on the all in podcast on monday to talk a little bit more about this issue. I'll have you guys take a listen, it's, it seems uh beyond beyond reasonable for twitter to claim that the number of Essentially the number of really said another way, the number of real unique humans that you see making comments on a daily basis on Twitter um is above 95%, that is what they're claiming. Does anyone have that experience? You can hear the audience laughing over that comment. Now, Musk went on to explain that he actually spoke to some experts who believed that at minimum Twitter has about 20% of their user base that are bought. He also pointed out his example of he has the most favorited tweet of all time. That of course is when he said he was going to buy Coca Cola and put cocaine back in it And that was liked by about 2.5% of the active daily monthly active user base and he believes that if the numbers were accurate, it should be around 10% to make sense to be the most like tweet of all time. So he thinks that there's something wrong with the algorithm or at least what the twitter numbers are being said right now when it comes to active users.
