Elon Musk Posts Twitter Poll Asking if He Should Step Down as CEO

Elon musk has asked users to vote as to whether or not he should step down as the head of twitter must tweeting last night asking twitter users to vote and said, quote, I will abide by the results of this poll. Now, musk has led twitter for a little over seven weeks that after buying the social media platform for 44 billion in october and that poll closing just earlier this morning, 57% of the respondents saying yes, he should step down Tesla shareholders, seemingly in favor of Elon musk's departure from twitter. Look at where the stock is at pre market of about 2.3%. Premarket. At one point it was up a little over 5%. So you obviously have to think Tesla benefits if Elon musk leaves twitter. Look, he has put a lot of big things a ceo to a pole, a public poll reinstating former president trump's account. He abided by those results when those journalists were banned on the platform last week, he put that Back up to a pole if they should be reinstated and he abided by that. This one is seemingly much bigger question than those two other stories. So does he actually abide by these results I think is the big question he hasn't tweeted since the polls closed. There's a lot of reporting on the fact that many of these polls are pretty easy to scam. There's a lot of bots weighing in on this particular one, there were 17.5 million and users who weighed in on it. And I also should mention that looking at some of his past polls, it's not exactly, you know, objective language here when he was voting whether to reinstate those journalists, the language he used with something like should I put people back on the platform or tweeted out my exact location and put my family in danger? People still voted to reinstate those says though he will abide by this pole and and as a result of that, who then if let's just say hypothetically he does leave, who then takes this role and who does he sort of go after the sort of head twitter, I mean obviously Jack Dorsey, he's friends with Jack Dorsey has said many times he has no plans to come back to the social media platform. Does he basically pluck somebody from another social media platform to run this? Does it come from Tesla? Because we've seen this sort of hybrid Tesla SpaceX workforce with twitter people as well, I mean, I think and it's whoever does is going to have a big mess to clean up. Obviously there's been like an exodus of employees, there's been a lot of misinformation hate speech on the platform and he's gonna have to re instill confidence from those advertisers and on top of that, whoever he chooses the ceo if again, if he does leave is probably going to be of the same mindset of where he wants to take twitter in terms of where everything is going because he's probably not going to choose somebody that is very different in terms of how his mindset is with the company agreed baker.
