Elon Musk is at it again, this time teasing a so-called "robovan" as a potential addition to Tesla’s electric vehicle lineup. It's worth noting though that Musk is notorious for announcing new vehicles on Twitter that never see the light of day. The Cybertruck and EV semi-truck, both of which got a social media debut from Musk, remain in the development stage.

Elon Musk Teases 'Robovan’ on Twitter

let's talk Elon musk, we talked about Elon musk a lot. He's suggesting that Tesla could produce a robo van. What is that? Well in a tweet, this is what he wrote, maybe Tesla should make a highly configurable robo van for people and cargo. Along with this idea must suggesting it could have a solar powered canopy that extends both sides of the van so far. His initial tweet about this idea garnered more than 50,000 lakes with Tesla fans getting very excited about the prospect of the new product in the autonomous world. While musk has teased new Tesla products in the past that have yet to get into the hands of consumers. Think cyber truck the Tesla semi, he still has said people should expect a massive wave of new E. V. Products in 2023 no matter what you think about Elon musk, he's a visionary, I think we all can agree on that. But with that said sometimes he tweets or says something a little ahead of time before they're anywhere near coming to fruition or making it to the hands of the consumers. This may be one of those things. I wouldn't count that out just yet. Do you remember I just did the story on amazon Zook's robots do So yes so there are definitely taxi services that are using autonomous vehicles in development. Uh Tesla is one of the biggest developers of autonomous vehicles. Probably if you think about the space you have, it's pretty much google Waymo leading it, you have Gm cruise and now you have amazon's UC's really competing but Tesla has always been in that space. So I think they see this potential for basically think about it, Uber or lift, but with no drivers, if you can develop this technology, Tesla already has it, they just have to tweak it a little bit. I do think the cargo van part of it is really interesting. That's not something I do love the idea so far and we definitely know that with people ordering more online, there is a need for cargo vans and especially electronic cargo vans. So this could be something that could really benefit the market. I'd be curious to see how shares are doing with the news. It could be a few years out, but I mean, it's already being developed by other big competitors. So you think 2023 we might get that announcement, Maybe we never know what Elon musk.
