Tim Stenovec is live from Cornell's Entrepreneurship Summit with Scott Belsky, Cheddar investor and entrepreneur. Belsky talks about how entrepreneurship has changed over the past decade or so. He says design is now a competitive advantage, whereas ten years ago it was something you would outsource. He also says it's easier than ever to start and test a company. However, it's also hard to scale because of all the different social media platforms you now need to master. Belsky is invested in many companies such as Uber, Pinterest, and Warby Parker. He says when looking for a company to invest in he looks at its technology, how it might make new careers in the future, and for a concept that plays into the creative industry. He says looking at the team running the company is also important. He looks for a team that is design-centric and takes initiative and listens.
