Jerry DeMuro and Andre Stein, co-CEOs of EmbraerX spin-off, Eve AIr Mobility, a manufacturer of autonomous and piloted electric aircraft, joined Cheddar News on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange for the company’s public debut. The chief executives also gave notice as to when they expect mass adoption of its air taxis. "We are talking about entering service by 2026, and when you are talking about this type of mobility, it's so much more affordable than what exists today with helicopters, so much quieter, the noise footprint is much lower, the cost of operation and the ticket price for the passenger so much lower," said Stein.

Eve Air Mobility Goes Public, Sees Its Air Taxis Taking Off in 2026

That's a leading developer of electric, urban air mobility is now public at the new york stock exchange. The company trading under the ticker symbol E V E X opening at $10.35 a share. The listing follows the completion of a business combination with the night acquisition corporation. That transaction values even at $2.9 billion. So joining us now to discuss the company are jerry de Niro and andre stein, the coast ceo of Yves Air mobility gentlemen. Such a pleasure to have you here. Congratulations on the very exciting day andre, let's start with you. What does it mean to finally be at the new york stock exchange ringing in that opening bell. I cannot say how excited I am of everything that happened has been such a long road to get here to get to this moment, but so much ahead it's still, I mean I'm so excited with everything that's going to happen from now on this deal allow us to really focus on delivering a new solution for urban air mobility, a new way for people to move around. So that's even more exciting. Okay, so jerry, let's talk about what you guys do IV that. Maybe you're hearing about it for the very first time you guys were spun off by brazil's Embraer error. So walk us through what that partnership sort of entailed for you guys here. So that's really a key differentiator. We believe for us in the market baker, it is the backing that we have of Ember area where it's 50 years of experience. Embryo has certified something like 30 aircraft in the last 25 years. This wealth of experience, the great aeronautical engineering talent that is available at Ember where we're actually going to leverage that at Eve through a partnership that we have in a contractual agreement. Not only do we get access to this talent today, but all of the infrastructure simulators, test facilities, the largest runway in the southern hemisphere for test facilities as well as after. We sell the ability to support and use that infrastructure worldwide. So the amber air backing is absolutely a critical element Of our story and our business model going forward. Yeah, we know how much the transportation and especially airborne ability in terms of the future that looks in terms of how exciting that looks. Let's talk about Andre the amount of money you guys are forecasting here 4.5 billion in revenue by 2030. How do you guys sort of plan to hit that target number by then? So that the way you're building this, it's not only the vehicle. You are developing a set of solutions for urban air mobility, really working together with partners to create that from the vehicle itself as we expect from a company that spun off from Embraer, that's one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world, but all the service and support the portfolio that goes along. We are also developing a solution for Ruben air traffic management which is a key enabler for that market to really happen on top of that really working with our customers, partner operators to rethink the way you do business with our operators and really tackle the different aspects of the ecosystem. I would also add stein that that represents about only 15% of the market that's projected by KPMG, the JPMorgan studies that have been put out there in terms of market size. So we think it's a very realistic estimate And if you look at our backlog today, we've got almost $5.5 billion dollars in backlog Through letters of intent for sales now as of today approaching 1900 vehicles. So we have great revenue visibility that covers the first three or four years of our plan. The plan represents about 15% market share, which we think is very realistic Jerry. I just want to stay with you here for a moment cause look, there are a couple other players in this space and at one time Uber was even interested in getting into this space. So how does eve sort of separate from the other competition here? Well, I think a couple of ways we already alluded to the great backing that we have with Embry era and the talent that we have and the the experience with the certification process that's number one, it gives us a tremendous advantage and talent operating expense as well as the Capex, we can be very capital efficient because we don't have to build out those that infrastructure. The market itself is very large, stein can talk to that so there is room for a number of successful players here. And lastly I would say it's not about being first, it's about bringing the right product to market that really optimizes efficiency operational costs for operators as well as the expense for users. Absolutely. It's a completely new sector for our space. When you're talking about the Uber and mobility, the concept has been around for a while, right, But now it's the time where the technology that can disrupt that market and really transform it to something more affordable, more sustainable are here now and you are leveraging that together with all this back in front. So it's really the best of both worlds. We are leveraging a leader in the aerospace sector but also bringing all these disruptive innovation to deliver something back to society. Okay, so Andre I have about less than 60 seconds. When do you sort of see mass adoption of this happen? When do you start to see more people start to take air taxis here soon? We are talking about entering service by 2026 and when you are talking about this type of mobility. it's so much more affordable. What exists today is with helicopters so much quieter. The nice footprint is much lower The cost of operation and the ticket price for the passenger so much lower. So starting off 2026, we do see that scaling up very fast A few years after that, we can see in different cities and the beauty of urban air mobility is exactly that the city is developed as you go. So it's a very global market and you're seeing that developing in different parts of the world very fast that it is an exponential market either way, incredibly exciting to see where this is all going.
