Expert Says Awareness & Open Dialogue Are Key To Getting More Women In Boardrooms

Increasing diversity in the boardroom isn't just about recruiting minorities, but about finding good leaders in general, according to one expert. Trish Shortell, Managing Director at strategic adviser firm MediaLink, says it's important to inform future leaders of what it takes to be an executive early in their careers. Another factor, she says, is sharing and encouraging women to share their personal success stories.
