FAA Says Current Safety Levels in U.S. Skies "Unsustainable"

In other news, an expert panel is warning that current safety levels in the US air travel are unsustainable. Several close calls on the tarmac of us airports prompted an assembly of experts to recommend changes to FAA procedures. Lack of funding old technology short, staffing and air traffic control towers and unrealistic training requirements have resulted in quote, an erosion of safety margins that must be urgently addressed. This is according to a report released today by the FA A's National Airspace System Safety Review team that was formed in April to address these issues.
