The family of a 13 year old boy who died after being bullied and hit at school has reached a $27 million settlement in court on Wednesday. This little boy Diego Stoltz died nine days after two students hit him at lunch, he then fell and hit his head on a concrete pillar. Diego's Guardians sued the Moreno Valley Unified School District after he died in September of 2019. They claimed the school district ignored several complaints they made in 2018 and 2019 that Diego was being bullied. The family's attorney said this in a quote, a quote, this lawsuit has put schools on notice to find ways to effectively deal with bullying and to enact real anti bullying policies. So heartbreaking.
