FDA emergency use authorization for Moderna's vaccine is expected to come as soon as today. Moderna's vaccine uses similar technology to Pfizer and Biontech's. It also requires two doses, given four weeks apart. Unlike Pfizer's, Moderna's candidate does not have to be stored at the ultra-cold temperatures, making it easier to distribute across the country.
