FDA Approves Pfizer's Pneumococcal Vaccine

The FDA has approved a new vaccine to prevent pneumococcal disease in Children. This Pfizer drug is called Preva 20. It's a next generation vaccine that's supposed to offer more protection than an older Pfizer vaccine that currently is still on the market. Pneumococcal disease can cause infections in several parts of the body, including your lungs where it can cause pneumonia. This drug has also been shown to prevent a type of ear infection in Children six weeks to five years old.
