FDA Approves Regeneron Cholesterol Drug Use For Children

Doctors can now use Regeneron's cholesterol medication in Children. The drug called Riqueza is used in patients ages 12 and older to manage high cholesterol. The FDA expanding that approval today for Children, ages 5 to 11 years old who can take the drug to treat an extremely rare disease that leads to high cholesterol. Regeneron's cholesterol drug, the first approved for kids under the age of 10, but it does come at a cost. The company saying in 2021 that the drugs prices about $450,000 a year with the stock down fractionally today.
