Fibroid Awareness Month Shines Light on Condition

July is fibroid fibroid Awareness Month and it's an opportunity to raise awareness for uterine fibroids. That's a painful condition estimated to impact a staggering 26 million women nationwide. Cheddar's very own. Ashley Maar spoke to one woman who was speaking out about her life changing experience with fibroids. Tiffany Rose, Miller can finally laugh again after years of pain, debilitating, definitely debilitating, stabbing pain. This was pain that would not go away. Five years ago, she felt intermittent abdominal pain that escalated as the years went on. Miller was suffering from fibroids, be dying tumors found in the uterine muscle. You can then go to your local physicians or surgeons and ask about those options. You can seek out specialty in the States where you live. As for Miller, her grapefruit sized fibroids were removed in the fall of last year. She says she's back to her active self. I plan to run the New York City Marathon. I've recently climbed Yosemite. So I definitely have a lot of mountains that I want to climb in the future, both literally and figuratively.
