All right. And if the moon seemed bigger and brighter last night, it's because it was the first of two super moons happening this month. The lunar phenomenon known as a supermoon happens when the moon is closer to the earth than normal. Last night, super moon known as the sturgeon super moon could be seen all across the country. The name is from native American tribes that found the giant sturgeon fish from the great Lakes were more easily caught at this time of the summer in case you missed it. Don't worry, the next supermoon will happen at the end of this month on August 30th. That one, by the way is a rare blue supermoon.
