A quarantine is now in place for a section of Broward County Florida. Look at your screen here is why all because of these giant African land snails. Look at the size of that thing. The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services said the snails were detected in the county earlier this month. The giant African land snails are harmful to agriculture and can eat their way through about 500 plant species. The quarantine prevents people from moving the snails or plants which includes soil, compost and yard waste out of certain areas without a prior agreement.
