As leagues playing in indoor arenas are preparing to begin their season outside of a designated bubble, namely, the NBA and NHL, working towards a safe return for fans has been a priority. One arena ,the BB&T Center, home of the Florida Panthers, is the first NHL arena to earn the International WELL Building Institute's WELL Health-Safety Rating for Facility Operations and Management, recognizing the arena’s strict health and safety protocols to combat COVID-19, and its preparedness to safely accommodate fans when they return. Sean McCaffrey, Chief Operating Officer for the Florida Panthers, takes Closing Bell through the process of what the organization did to ensure a safe environment. McCaffrey also discusses how the Panthers are preparing for the upcoming NHL season as the league still determines an official start date.
