An unnamed CIA trainee is suing the federal agency claiming it used intimidation to stop her from filing a sexual assault lawsuit. The former CIA trainee claims she was sexually assaulted in a stairwell at the CIA headquarters in 2022 and that the agency repeatedly and improperly tried to discourage her from filing a criminal complaint and testifying at the abuser's trial. The lawsuit also claims the CIA improperly shared the victim's workplace messages with the abuser's defense to falsely portray her as having an extra marital affair. The perpetrator was convicted in August for assault and battery by a Fairfax County court.
