FlexIt, a virtual fitness training platform, has announced its partnership with former NFL player and "Bachelorette" winner Dale Moss as its head of community. Austin Cohen, founder and CEO of FlexIt, and Moss joined Cheddar News to talk about the team-up. "I've been on the road, definitely, over half of the year, and for me, one of the most important things is accountability," said Moss. "Also knowing that wherever I'm at, I can at least stay on a routine or at least have access to good knowledge. So Flexit's helped me tremendously in one of the busiest years of my life."

It is an app that connects users with personal trainers who host live one on one workouts all over video, it's pretty cheap to, it starts as low as $30 a session now. The company has teamed up with tv personality and former football wide receiver dale dale Moss all to further connect people in the flex at community. So joining us now to discuss our Dale Moss tv personality and head of community over flex it and also Austin Cohen, the founder and Ceo over it flex it gentlemen, such a pleasure to have both of you guys here with me also. I want to start with you with this rise in virtual training that we're seeing in these apps out there. How are you guys at flex and trying to really stay competitive in this space now. It's great to be here again. Thanks for having me. The last couple times we've been on here was to announce our partnerships with their body flex a pro, our celebrity and athlete platform and excited to be here with dale today. Ah so much of what's out there is highly impersonal and it's competitive like you said, but it's impersonal because the communication stream is one way and it shouldn't be such that only the elite have access to a live one on one. Experience, personal training, physical therapy, nutrition. So we really wanna help everybody to be able to access experts from strength and hit two yoga meditation, stretching, physical therapy and diet and span that whole spectrum affordably and flexibly. So from wherever they are at home at a gym on the road and we're doing that through video tech and it's been awesome and dale uses it wherever he is, he travels the time on the road all the time, doing all this. I've been on the road uh definitely over half of the year. Um and for me, one of the most important things is accountability, but also knowing that wherever I'm at, I can at least stay on a routine or at least have access to good knowledge. So flex, it's helped me tremendously in one of the busiest um years of my life. Well, so let's talk about your role dale is going to be in all this, the head of community. I mean that is quite the title already. What does sort of that job entail that you'd be doing here? So you know, for me, I think the biggest um focus is making fitness and wellness more accessible to people all over. Uh not only the US but all over the globe, I I think about my time as a professional athlete and all the things that I learned and once I transitioned out of sports into more of the fashion and the entertainment industry, um I realized how few resources are good knowledge most people have access to. Um and fitness has played a role in everything that I've done throughout my entire life. So um we actually did an interview with Terrell Owens during super Yeah Cto and it it was interesting because we talked about growing up and how he didn't have, you know gyms and he didn't have some of the coaching in the knowledge and I think about it as I was growing up different like South Dakota, South Dakota, so I didn't always have those resources but you know sometimes just having that knowledge and and having good sources that you can rely on is the number one thing to help you get to whatever goal it is that you're looking to get in communities. So true to everything that dale does talk about special olympics a little bit. Yeah, I mean so you know beyond anything, like personally I've gotten very, very involved with different um you know, philanthropic endeavors but special olympics has been a major thing for me and my sister Was a special Olympics athlete and since 2015 I've worked with them on a global scale and one of our number one uh focuses with that is inclusion but also their unified sports program and being able to enhance and provide as many resources for these athletes who are completely uh competing on a global scale. So um now that things are coming back to in person, it's it's really amazing that we can really um get back to some of the activations and also like having a partner like flex it to be able to provide some of these resources to a lot of these athletes who would never normally have that opportunity Austin, you know, as you mentioned, you know, sometimes having that sort of interpersonal relationships and the connectivity with the person that you're working out with, that probably gonna motivate people to work out more, at least that's the case with me, what has sort of been the customer reaction to a lot of these workouts? And is there one workout maybe in particular that's doing more popular than other ones? Absolutely, one of the things that we've really focused on is helping people to realize that you may not have thought that personal training was for you before or a live one on one experience, personal training, physical therapy, nutrition, but it's actually like you said, I'm going to help hold you more accountable more, better, motivate you, keep you on track, you're not gonna be able to fall off as easily and so by giving people the opportunity to do this more accessibly than they were before. People are now realizing that this is something they did want and it's something that they did need, but it's it's about getting through that education process and people understanding that it can be done in a non intimidating way and it can be done in the comfort of of of of an environment where no one's looking at you and you don't have to feel self conscious. So fitness in general can be something that's intimidating, intimidating? Right? Not everyone's like, it's not always the most approachable thing, even even at this level, you know, it's trying something new or just understanding how your body changes over a period of time. Um it's you know, it's hard to get into it and you know, just having that guidance and making it more approachable is major austin. I have about 90 seconds left. You started a podcast to flex it podcast called Just flexing What made you want to get into the podcast space in here? And how does that sort of help people with the workout process? We've built such an awesome network up and have so many important people with incredible experiences. Dale was recently on the podcast actually Dale was the first guests to come on for the second time he doubled up, but there's just so much knowledge to be shared with others and our whole mission has always been with everything we do to help people to get more fit to a better and healthier lives. The podcast is just one way that we can help to share the knowledge from the folks in the network and Dale last question. And Bachelor Nation would kill me if I didn't ask you about this. You by the way, have experienced with two bachelorettes on one season that of course with Tasia season and with claire season, there's a new season coming up with two bachelorettes also. How do you sort of navigate the process as a contestant when there's two bachelorettes? Yeah, I mean so with mine obviously I didn't know that that was going to happen, it was a different situation, but um I think with that uh if anything I think it gives more options, but I also think that the two leads can really rely and like have um you know, some support from one another or like just anyone else in the cast who's obviously helping them through this. So um and at the end of the day, uh you know if they find what they're looking for, that's the number one thing, like everyone deserves to be happy, you know, it's a love is a beautiful thing. So um you know, I just hope it works out for both of the leads, but also all the contestants involved. Absolutely, all right dale moss tv personality and had a community over flex it.
