Former NSA Employee Admits He Tried to Sell Classified Docs

A former national security agency employee pled guilty yesterday for trying to sell classified documents to a person he believed was a Russian agent. The person turned out to be an undercover FBI agent. 31 year old Jared Donkey pled guilty to six counts of attempting to transmit national defense information to a foreign government. The former NSA employee admitted that in August and September of last year, he attempted to sell copies of reclassified documents containing information classified as top secret sensitive information. He started working for the NSA in 2022 and first shared excerpts of classified documents with the undercover agent in August of 2022. Zale apparently requested $85,000 in exchange for these documents. His sentencing is set to take place in April of 2024. He could face up to 20 years in prison.
