Former U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams joined Cheddar’s Closing Bell to talk about concerns surrounding the spread of COVID-19 in Japan as well as here in the U.S. Adams said that going on with the athletic event was not a particularly good idea as the Tokyo Olympics "has all the ingredients for a super spreader event." Adams also discussed the importance of getting vaccinated against the virus as the Delta Variant accounts for 83 percent of the U.S. cases, and whether or not reimplementing a federal mask mandate is a good idea.
