It's been already baseball experiencing its first work stoppage in over 26 years after the league and players failed to reach a new labor deal. But the lockout was lifted earlier this month with a full 162 game season still intact. First pitch takes place one week from today. And boy, are we ready for joining us now? David Salvatore MLB and PG a writer for fan sighted dot com. So baseball season is back. I'm so excited about this, it's a little bit shorter than expected. But regardless of that, who is your favorite from the A. L. And the N. L. In the American League. I like the Blue Jays. I'm here in Toronto and the Buzz surrounding this team is unbelievable. They've been averaging some of their spring training games and getting 500,000 viewers on TV. Some, some teams don't even get 100,000 in the regular season. They had the biggest deepest lineup in baseball. George Springer missed half the game last season, they traded for Matt Chapman who could hit 40 homers playing at the Rogers Center while also being the best defense of their basement. They got Kevin Gausman who had a breakout year with the Giants and the N. L. I. I really like the Dodgers anytime you can add an EVP like Freddie Freeman in the middle of the lineup along with mookie Betts, another EVP trade turner for entire offseason. Sure they suffered some losses, notably like max Scherzer and Corey Seager manager. Dave roberts has already guaranteed that to win the World Series. So they know that the team to beat them nationally. Oh yeah, the, the Dodgers will certainly be fun to watch this season. The Mets on the other hand, are the betters favorite team to bet on early grabbing over 1/5 of the total handle to win the World Series. That line has moved from plus 2002 plus 1000 to win it all are the Mets being overhyped across the board. You think? I think the hype surrounding the Mets is real. They have Jacob deGrom and max Scherzer potential past 12 punch since randy johnson and curt Schilling with Arizona and overlooked acquisition is actually chris pass. It would be a staff is for a lot of other teams that was actually the third guy in the Mets, he's fit to the top 10 in the cy young voting the last two years here and the three. But those three, this is the best starting rotation in the league and they also got Mac buck. Showalter, he's the perfect manager for his team has a proven winner, he knows how to manage in new york and also Francisco indoor, who's then what seems like he's struggled to adapt to playing in new york, please look terrific so far this spring. So the Mets will be right there in the east. Well, you just made everyone on this show super happy. We have a control room full of Mets fan. So I know they love to hear that. Which dark horse teams do you think are undervalued by the book? I'm looking at the defending champs. People write them off that they're losing Freddie Freeman, but matt also is a terrific player. They also won the World Series without Ronald. Acuna was probably the front runner for the Nl MvP in the first half. Last season, they have a terrific top of the rotation with max free Ian Anderson and charlie morton and their general manager, Alex Anthopoulos has proven he won't hesitate to make a bold move after Acuna got hurt last year, he completely remade the outfield. So don't count out the defending champs. The braves could potentially be the first team to repeat as champs in 2000. Well, MLB, opening day isn't the only major sporting event beginning on april 7th, golf's most prestigious tournament. The Masters tees off from Augusta Georgia, but with roughly 90 to 100 players competing betting on a winner could be as difficult as reaching the green from the rough. So David, how should people approach betting on golf? Since it's not team versus team competition like we see in football and basketball. Well, the Masters has always played on the same course, Augusta national's. So you have to look who, who's game suits. Of course the most. It's a long course. They've even links in the links in three of the holes this year. Look for players like Dustin johnson won two years ago or even books kept to also look for players who had accessory in the past. Jordan's speed is one of them. Regardless of how, what the state of his game is at any moment, they will always be a contender at Augusta or baba Watson who has a link to really tear up these par fives. Pickles two factors into consideration. Well, speaking of these big names, when it comes to the Masters, the biggest topic really is Tiger Woods. He played an 18 hole practice round on Tuesday and his odds to win the tournament are plus 5000 according to bet MGM value play. Or are you giving the sports book money if you bet on him? Ordinarily betting on a 46 year old with a bum leg wasn't played in more than a year, would be setting money on fire but never bet against tiger. He won the us open on a broken leg, he's bounced back from back surgeries Him. Even playing in the tournament would be incredible. Him winning seats unfathomable. It would probably be the biggest golf story ever, but he's proven everyone wrong before. So don't count him out. That's for sure. You can never count out tiger. All right, last but certainly not least. Who is your pick to win the 2022 Masters tournament? Well, height would be on Tiger, but I'm going with someone who's almost become like a little brother. Tiger Justin thomas. He was there playing with Tiger the other day. He's round at the Players championship a few weeks ago, 40 mile per hour, gusting winds. He didn't make a bogey. Might have been the round of the year so far. He was fourth year two years ago and actually held the share of the lead going to the weekend and it was right in the mix last year. Through two rounds to it's been five years since he won a major. He's too good to only have one. Justin thomas will be putting on the green jacket on sunday afternoon.
