Genexa has deemed itself "the first clean medicine company" and looks to disrupt big pharma by providing over-the-counter medicines that are free of what it calls unnecessary or unhealthy ingredients. On the heels of a $60 million Series A fundraise, co-founder and CEO David Johnson joined Cheddar’s Closing Bell to talk about how the company differentiates itself from its pharmaceutical competitors. He noted that over-the-counter medicines within the industry continue to add what he claimed were unnecessary synthetics, binders, and dyes, unlike current trends in ingredient transparency for food and beverages.
