Valentine's Day is two days away, and believe it or not, puppies are actually a popular gift for significant others this time of year. But getting a dog is a major decision. In fact, it's a relationship that might outlast the romantic one you're in right now. Dr. Laura Pletz from Royal Canin joins Cheddar with some advice on how to pick the dog that's right for you.
Pletz says that when considering a dog breed, you should consider factors such as your own activity level, work hours and hobbies. The amount of living space you have should be able to accommodate the size of the dog as well.
Royal Canin has an online quiz at MyPetReference.com that will tell you what breeds could be a match for your lifestyle.
