Dan Ives, managing director of equity research at Wedbush Securities, joined Cheddar to discuss General Motors' big electric vehicle push. The auto giant is planning to challenge Tesla as the leading seller of electric vehicles. The automaker adjusted its revenue outlook to $280 billion by 2030. Ives noted that GM is also looking to rebrand itself as a tech company to compete in the space but mentioned that the global semiconductor shortage could hamper plans.
