A new study published in nature yesterday found that more than 56% of our oceans have changed color in the last 20 years. Climate change likely to blame for this using imagery from satellites all over the globe. Researchers discovered that oceans, especially those near the earth's equator are slowly becoming more green. Yeah, oceans look greener because of the tiny organisms called phytoplankton which are filled with chlorophyll. Other sea creatures feed on that, which could mean that the ocean food chains now will change in the future. The researchers say it's hard to see those changes with your naked eye. But if the climate change continues to accelerate, which it will, it will become far more noticeable, so less blue oceans, more green, green and like local, local beaches. I mean, I just thought maybe it was like either dirty water or you think uh 50% of us beaches has feces in it. Exactly. Exactly. I saw that story which is crazy because now it's like you have a whole different perspective at the beach. I don't want to go to the beach and there's some great news for our travelers. The latest consumer data report released yesterday shows that in June airfare prices were down, 19% rental car prices were down 12%. AAA says that gas prices are also over a dollar cheaper than they were a year ago. But according to the Wall Street Journal, crowds at amusement Park like Disney World or Universal Studios are also smaller than they've been in years. This suggests demand might finally be slowing down for those experiences. People missed out during the pandemic. So how is your spending change since the pandemic? Well, this is interesting, Bob Iger was asked earlier this morning on C NBC about that Wall Street Journal story about Disney uh parks uh attendance going down. He didn't say it was because of his fight with uh with uh with uh Florida Governor Ronda Santis. And he said that the Wall Street Journal was uh construing some of the data. But I feel like across the board, all of our, all of our spending has completely changed all over the place that inflation report was really big because our prices and travel, in addition to rent and cars have been some of the biggest drags on inflation. Uh The CP I the last little while. So now that you've gotten airfare and travel down is if the Biden administration can just basically tackle how expensive it is to live right now. That will bring down inflation even more than it is right now. I mean, it is at 3% which is higher than the 2% number that the Fed wants. But if you can sort of tackle how expensive things are to live right now, that would be a huge boon for them. Finally breaking up. No longer means having to say goodbye to your Netflix profile and a new update, the streaming service now allows allowing users to switch their profiles to an existing account. Now, previously, you could only save your profile by switching to a brand new account. But now all you have to do is choose that transfer to an existing account option. So whether you broke up, moved out of your parents' house or got a new roommate. Well, good news. You won't lose all your watch history or your saved list. Of course, you're still going to be limited to sharing with those in your household. This after Netflix recently introduced new rules to crack down on uh password sharing. So this will be funny if people start breaking up and they're like, ok, well, this is how I found out I was breaking up because they moved their Netflix uh profile to another account breaking up.
