Gorilla Thought to Be Male Gives Birth at Ohio Zoo

Now it's a Columbus zoo and aquarium in Ohio where a gorilla called Sully has lived for nearly four years. Sully's caregivers had always believed the eight year old was a male as a gender of younger gorillas is often very hard to tell. But then Sully unexpectedly gave birth and was seen a baby last week. There is that picture. It's very cute. Zookeeper believe, Sully fell pregnant back in the fall. The pregnancy wasn't detected because well, gorillas typically have very large abdomens. The good news here though, mother and baby are now doing well and look at Sully's face. She looks like a happy mama.
