The coronavirus pandemic is putting major stress on the travel industry, and now, airlines are now asking governments around the world to shift to a more tech-savvy solution. The industry is reportedly lobbying governments to replace cumbersome quarantine restrictions with widespread testing and so-called digital travel passes issued by the non-profit initiative CommonPass. The airlines are being represented by three global alliances. We welcome in Jeffre Goh, the CEO of one of those groups, Star Alliance, to discuss the passes and the reaction from world leaders so far.
