The immigration crisis at the southern border continues as thousands of Haitian migrants have descended upon Del Rio, Texas in recent days. Roughly 14,000 Haitians are now camping out under a bridge in the small border town as they desperately try to claim asylum in the u-s. Earlier today, he U.S. special envoy for Haiti resigned from his position saying he could not be associated with the Biden administration's "inhumane and counterproductive deportation of Haitian refugees." On top of that, the president's own party is criticizing the handling of the border situation.
