Virtual and augmented reality technology is quickly growing in popularity in the United States. In Q2 of 2017, vendors shipped 2.1 million AR and VR headsets. That is more than a 25% increase year-over-year, according to research firm IDC. With strong growth projections, Microsoft is stepping up its virtual and augmented reality game. The company on Tuesday unveiled new mixed reality headsets targeted at a broader audience at more affordable prices. The headsets aren't Microsoft's only venture into mixed reality. The brand new Surface Book 2 also has those technologies built in. Greg Sullivan, a Director in the Windows and Devices Group at Microsoft, shows Hope King how customers can use the new mixed reality software.
