Hertz is launching a new partnership with biometric company Clear to speed up the process of renting a car. Hertz CMO Jodi Allen and Clear CEO Caryn Seidman Becker joined Cheddar to talk about the "Hertz Fast Lane" experience, which they said will use facial recognition technology to shave the average wait time to exit the airport with a rental down to 30 seconds or less. Allen said the program will be available to members of Hertz's loyalty program. And Seidman Becker noted that protecting and securing customers' biometric data remains top priority as it expands its technology to new industries.
