As Pride Month continues and more companies look to diversify their workforce, what might recruiters work on in order to link candidates of different backgrounds to those businesses? Byron Slosar, founder and CEO at recruiting platform HIVE Diversity, said that in some instances, part of the work he does is empower students to believe that their personal backgrounds shouldn’t deter them from seeking a path toward their desired work destination. "Eighty percent of them share diverse backgrounds and experiences on their resumes because they should be able to, and they want to," he told Cheddar. He also noted that HIVE uses gamified and asynchronous content to "get them the tools that they need if they don't have it in the classroom."
