George Liu, CMO of Hong Kong Airlines, discusses the company's recent launch of European and North American routes, starting in Vancouver in June. The airline will launch its first non-stop North American route to Los Angeles on December 18th and another to San Francisco on March 25th, 2018. NYC and other North American and European destinations are also set for 2018. The company recently took delivery of 21 Airbus A350 planes, which hold 334 people and focus on the business class experience. We speak with Liu about the customer experience issues that airlines like United have faced in the last year. He notes that Hong Kong focuses on customer service first. He discusses the airline's partnerships with various celebrities, locals, and chefs, which help bring the brand to life and add a layer of authenticity.
