Earlier this week. City officials in Juneau, Alaska issued an emergency declaration as the glacial break caused some major flooding. The flooding destroyed several structures including this house which collapsed into the Mendenhall River. The dramatic video was filmed by a resident who watched for more than an hour as the home finally fell into the floodwaters. The resident Sam Nolan said it was really sad to see, but all we could do is stand there and watch National Weather service hydrologist Erin Jacobs said about the flooding quote. We didn't even think that this was possible. Luckily no injuries were reported, of course, just another outcome, right, of what has been extreme weather in many circumstances really fueled by climate change.
