And how does blue printing tie into this? Yeah, I really believe that most people, um the term retirement people strive for this thing called retirement and this idea that you spend most of your life doing something that you have to do and you don't necessarily love. So you get a little bit of the time at the end, so you get to do the things you love to do and guess what, when you follow that that process, you get to the end and a lot of people aren't satisfied and they didn't like the hobby and or they thought they were gonna play golf every day and their handicap is gonna go down and it doesn't happen, it's like, well let's be more intentional about it throughout our lives and figure out, you know, what's your jam, what gets you excited? What gets you out of bed, where your enthusiasm is so incredible. And I always tell people listen, if you have to hit the snooze button More than two days in a row, that's an early warning sign of cancer on your enthusiasm for life, you know, you're just hitting it, hitting it, hitting it, you can't get out of bed. I mean, I was up early this morning, I get up early, I go to bed early, but I was up at 3 38 always gonna make a note. What time was I got up this morning and man was, I was excited. We had this, I got a ton of great things going today, but it revolves around things that I love, I love aviation and so I'm a pilot, I fly, I'm very been very involved in this for, for a big chunk of my life. Uh and I've also found ways to do business with the aviation wine business is another one. You know, jenny and I are involved in the wine business were involved in um lots of things that that we love, but we figured out how to not work life balance, work life Harmony. And that old saying goes, when you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life and I really believe since the age of 36 because I really had a conscious plan to get there. I lived my life doing the things I love to do versus of the things I have to do without the blue printing process, I wouldn't have had a road map in order to allow that to actually happen and, and today I love it. And what's nice is things that I don't love to do other people do and they're great at and it's their passion. We just got to reorder the stuff and get the right people in the right spot, living the most fulfilling life. How do you go about giving discretionary effort each day and how does it help you invest back into your passion? So let's talk about what discretionary effort is, first of all. So I always defined discretionary effort as there's a level of input and just working a job as an example that if you give it up to this level, it's just enough to keep your job. No one's gonna fire your, your, maybe not, you know, the rock star at the organization, but you're just giving enough versus what you're capable of. Like you're all out you ever hear, I do the work of two or three people, that person's right. Given discretionary effort and the delta between those two, not only is good for your business or good, whoever you're you're working with, but it's also really good for you because when you're just showing up giving just enough that's not very fulfilling as humans, we got to be constantly growing to the fullest? How do you align your business with your passion? Because I interviewed, I've talked to many successful people who haven't achieved that because of money a lot of times people continue to do things that they don't love to do. Matter of fact, um we're looking right now to make a big hire at the firm and they're gonna make a lot less money with us and where they're at and they said, you know, I just am not enjoying what I do, I'm not enjoying my life, but money keeps a lot of people there. I remember I was in SAn Diego and my first book came out, I was doing a book signing this guy comes up and says I read your book really like it, but I hate this profession and I said, well are you in it because I make a lot of money And so it is it is that that and I think that comes from the same insecurity that I I suffered from and I tell I have told my kids do what you love, do what you love start with that and enough money, we'll show up enough will show up if you, if you lead with how can I make the most money you're gonna be on this humanistic treadmill, you're never gonna ever, ever, ever complete, you've invested in several businesses outside the Carson group that align with your interests and your passions, can we talk about your wine until that began, this really came as a result of a need, you know, investing in venom 55 which is right here in Scottsdale, the Scottsdale airport um and one of my dear friends who is part of my network, his name Sean Furey said, hey Ron we should invest in this. He's a wine enthusiast like I am, there's a real need for storage, a club buying power. Uh, and we invested in that jenny and I are, I think to date the number is 15, 16, 17 different little businesses that were in ranging from um altruistic, which is a, is a company you've never heard of Jason wink out of L. A. Uh founded and is running what will be, I think one of the, the coolest platforms out there to really enable the consumer to have even a better experience as it relates to technology and lower cost and really elevating their baseline because they're going to have more resources for themselves to things like investing in aviation, investing in wine, investing in coral. Yeah, we're, we are, we're all about putting our money where our passions are. Okay, let's talk about how you built your business Ron. So I teach something within our coaching business called passion prospecting. I was always amazed when I got started in this business, how people would do seminars and do workshops and they would attract whoever had a particular interest in a, in a topic. And as my business started to take off, I was like, I don't want to go teach a workshop on this or that. It really wasn't my interest. And some of the people there was like, I want to do business with people that are literally my friends and I mean I want to look, I want to sincerely look forward when I see them on the calendar that I'm gonna, that I'm gonna like, oh my gosh, I can't wait to catch up and see what's new in their life. And so I thought, well why don't I just extend this through the passions that I love, golf, wine, aviation, hunting, mountain climbing and I started doing events and I invite my clients and then I'd say who do you know that shares our passion for and what's amazing is not only do they know somebody that shares a passion, but then they know somebody and they know somebody and it goes on forever. So I really have taught and personally have built my business to passion, prospecting, aligning your passions, attracting your tribe, people that have come when you share a common passion, you tend to have more trust for that person and you definitely have a higher energy level between the two of you or the three of you or whatever the group is when you truly have aligned those fashions for those people are out there, like this doesn't seem as easy as Iran's making it sound. What would you say to them? I would say nothing in life. That's worthwhile is easy. It does take effort. Um and the effort is around planning things. Listen, if it was super easy, everybody would do it and it and it wouldn't work, but it's not very hard. You know, it just it just takes a commitment, It takes some thought and it's it's it's in reach for everybody watching this interview.
