This year marks eBay's fourth annual celebration of Giving Tuesday. The company is leveraging its network of buyers and sellers to help make a difference through commerce. Chris Librie, eBay's senior director for Global Impact and Giving, and joins us to discuss the e-commerce giant's philanthropic efforts. This year, eBay is partnering with Feeding America to fight hunger. The company is teaming up with celebrities to offer once-in-a-lifetime experiences and exclusive inventory items, with 100% of proceeds going to charity. Librie also tells us about the expansion of the Gifts That Give Back program. After debuting last year, the program is now introducing two new charitable partnerships, and more symbolic gifts whose proceeds go to the charity of the buyer's choice. Librie also discusses some of the impressive figures that eBay for Charity has tallied over the years. The organization is responsible for raising over $725 million as of 2016. He also explains how the network's sellers have managed to create almost 1.5 million charitable listings available on any given day.
