How 'Glow Labs' Is Creating Loyalty Rewards on Blockchain

in our next two guests. Two female entrepreneurs that are paving the way for women in this space. So joining us now, Annie Reardon and rene russo co founders and co ceo of glow labs. Great to have both of you here with me and you want to start with you, you met your previous job, you met in your previous jobs as engineers. So tell us a little bit about what glow labs is all about here. Yeah, Glow labs is a white label loyalty rewards software on the Blockchain. We sell to businesses and allow them to create their own loyalty rewards program. Some features we have are rewarding with N. F. T. S, crypto and utility. Okay, so Renee tell us a little bit of how you break down, you know all these that are skeptical about the metaphors that are out there, maybe you're not familiar with Web three. How do you sort of break this all down for everyone? Of course this is one of my favorite questions actually. We see Web three as the next iteration of the World Wide web and if we look at the evolution of the internet, we could start back in the web. Web one days where we saw early signs of google which is known as the read only era. This was the first way that you could read data online. Then Web two came around known as the read and write era. We saw early signs of facebook Snapchat and Uber come into play where not only could you read data but now contribute your own content to the internet. Now in Web three, it's not only known as to read and write, but ownership stage and it allows people to own their data, which is all stored on the Blockchain. Okay, so Annie, why is it important that women get involved in these conversations surrounding crypto and N F T S? Yeah, I think you can only become what you see. So when I was a software engineer at Jpmorgan, it was really important for me to see women in stem and I think the same goes here and right now in the past six months, a lot of onboarding and on ramping companies um for Web three have gotten much better software, so more women can come into the space. So I think the accessibility of where we are right now is super exciting. Okay, so Renee, what have been some of the big challenges you guys have faced throughout your journey into the Web three space? That's a good question. I think the nature of the Blockchain is that it's so new, so there's a lot of innovation happening, but that comes with lack of knowledge and documentation and resources, so a lot of the stuff that we have been building has been completely from scratch, which is great, you know, we are builders and we do love building with at the forefront of technology, but then again, there's a lot of figuring it out that we face every day. Look, we know a lot of these industries are super male dominated, so Annie, what advice do you have for women who are seeking careers to get into a lot of these industries? I think throw out the impostor syndrome. I know that's like easier said, but I really, really believe like just show up just, you know, get dive into it and just get learning OK, rene what does the future of loyalty rewards look like so much to unpack there? But if I had to pick one, I would say the future of loyalty is about ownership and that is the essence of Web three and Blockchain. So when it comes to loyalty rewards in Web three, we're really giving ownership back to the users where they can use their loyalty for business aspects, they could trade it for profit, they could lend it to a friend for a day to use it for certain perks and benefits and truly nailing down that ownership of what you do on and off chain and amy while I got you, what's gonna be the future for you guys, for the future for us? Um we are going to um we're like looking to go into more social tokens, we are really excited about gaming and in gaming rewarding. So I think that's what gets us really excited.
