Cheddar Anchor Hope King recently visited the Seattle Children's Research Institute to see how Microsoft data and analytics are being used to solve Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Each year, 3,000 infant lives are claimed by SIDS. Microsoft General Manager of Customer Data & Analytics John Kahan is leading the charge in this partnership between technology and science. Kahan tragically lost his newborn son Aaron to this illness. With more than $200,000 in funding, Kahan and researchers at Seattle Children’s Hospital partnered to develop an entirely new SIDS tool that crunches data to identify new correlations. Through this research, they hope to get one step closer to ensuring the health of this vulnerable population. To learn more, visit: http://givetostopsids.org/
