Whether you work a salaried or hourly job, you likely get paid once or twice a month. For some people, that can pose a problem when it comes to paying bills on time. One company is trying to change that. Instant Financial enables companies to give their employees access to a portion of their earned wages on a daily basis. When a worker finishes their shift, they can access up to 50% of the money they earned that day. Companies like Outback and various McDonald's franchises are already using the system. Steve Barha, Co-Founder and CEO of Instant Financial, explains where the idea came from. He walks us through the ways that his company makes it easier to pay bills on time. When asked whether getting paid daily makes it harder to save, Barha points out that the system was created so that employees could only take out a percent of their wages as a way to ensure customers don't run into that problem.
