How to Save Money While Celebrating the Spooky Season

And welcome back to, to know everyone. I'm Christian Shower and I hope you're ready. This Friday the 13th. Halloween is just a few weeks away and like any holiday it can get pretty expensive. So joining me now to figure out some ways to say while we get into the spooky season mood or welcoming shopping experts. I try, I'm going to join you here and we have some amazing things on that. I'm so happy that you're here. Oh, it's so fun to be here and so fun to be here with all these goodies for Halloween as well. That's for sure. So we know decorations can be one of the most expensive parts obviously of Halloween. And what's the best way to save on decorations like these? Oh my gosh, these are so fun. So first of all, you always want to look for ways to save. So use a coupon site. One of my favorites is coupon cabin dot com, who I work with you, search Halloween and all the deals will pop up. They also have a browser extension. So once it's installed, it will alert you to cash back and coupons as you're shopping and then secondly, buy really good quality products. So this guy and our fun Hocus pocus inflatable. These are from Home Depot and I love these because they're really easy to set up and they pack down really small. And then my last tip for Decor is, you know, you may be wondering about that bin over there with our inflatables. You wanna store your items away in a good solid bin. I found that one at Home Depot as well. So you pack everything in, make sure it's shut tight. And then when you open it up next year, you can use your decorations again and again and again, I love that Hocus Pocus inflatable. Very, very good for spooky season. Uh, what are some great decorations if you are on a budget? Maybe some cheaper items? Yeah. So dollar Store don't discount your Dollar store. So I found all these goodies at Dollar General. I mean, they look amazing like these jars and bottles and things you look like you could find them at Macy's or Bloomie's in their home department, but I found them at the Dollar store. So that's a really good way to supplement your bigger investment pieces. Spells and curses. Oh my gosh, we can't let it the tray. Um, ok, Diy. Do it yourself. Obviously very popular. Any tips for Diy? Yes, I'm huge for Diy, especially because it's a great money saver and a great activity for you to spend with your kids, even if you're not handy, you can go to youtube for lots of inspiration and Diy videos and then your craft stores like Michael's and Joanne, they'll not only have all the supplies you need, but they also have how to videos as well. So you can make it believe in yourself. And what's this pillow over here that is from Dollar General, believe it or not. I love that. Ok, great. So, in terms of deals at times to shop to get a good deal at these retailers. Yes. So the longer you wait, the better the deals will be, but the selection will thin as the money carries on the month carries on. So you don't wanna wait too long because then you might not be able to find the things you want. And so that's really important with costumes, especially if you want something specific or your child does you wanna maybe use that coupon site to get a deal earlier in the month and then you'll have a little less flexibility as the month carries on. So something that's very important, the selection will thin as the month carries any tips for getting a costume for free. Yes. So look around in your maybe neighborhood Facebook group, um Any list services that you have in your community and there might be community swaps. You can also set one up between you and your friends. Maybe their costume can be your costume this year. Always remember costumes are only worn a couple times and they're in excellent condition. I also love going to thrift stores because there are lots of costumes there and they've been worn once or twice. So great value you but also only worn once or twice. So.
