Hyundai, LG to Invest Additional $2B in EV Battery Plant

Hyundai and LG have announced they will invest another $2 billion in an E battery manufacturing plant in Georgia. The companies will also add 400 more jobs to the plant. They say the facility will be able to produce about 300,000 batteries each year. Once complete, the battery plant is a joint venture between Hyundai and Hyundai, excuse me and LG and is separate from an auto manufacturing plant for electric vehicles that's scheduled to open in Georgia of January 2025.
