Idalia Recovery Continues in Southeast U.S.

Recovery is underway in the southeast days after Adalia made landfall as a category three hurricane Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas all experienced flooding and heavy rain. Analysis shows that Idalia impact could have been far worse. The National Weather service determined that the storm unexpectedly weakened rather than strengthened before landfall. Tallahassee was set to get a direct hit from the storm when in the final hours of its approach towards Florida. Idalia turned away from the capital city towards a more rural area.
