Fallon on Broadway
Late night funny man Jimmy Fallon is headed to the Great White Way. During last night's Tonight Show, writer-director Cameron Crowe offered Fallon the opportunity to reprise his role as Dennis Hope from Almost Famous in the new stage production that opens Thursday. The film was first released in theaters in 2000. More than three years ago when Crowe visited The Tonight Show, he left an open invitation to Fallon to join the cast and the host has finally accepted. It's not clear when Fallon will make his debut, but he is not expected to take over the role full-time from actor Jakeim Hart.
'Avatar: The Way of the Water' Trailer
It's been 13 years since James Cameron's Avatar first premiered in theaters and now, the long awaited sequel is just over a month away. Ahead of the Avatar: The Way of the Water theatrical release, fans were treated to a sneak peek with a new trailer. The film is set more than a decade after the original and from the looks of the trailer, the Na'avi people are engaged in an epic war. It also appears the film is more of the same from the original when it comes to its aesthetics and stunning visuals.
Lupita in Horror
Lupita Nyong'o is is diving back into the horror genre with a role in the upcoming A Quiet Place: Day One. So far, not much is known about the film's plot but the spinoff is said to be another brainchild from director and star John Krasinski. This will be the third film in the franchise, but it's not being described as a sequel. Additionally, Emily Blunt and Krasinski apparently will not appear in the film after starring in the first two. The film is slated to hit theaters in 2024.
